Magmedix Company History

MAGMEDIX was founded when the former MRI product division of MR Resources grew to take on a life of its own. In the early days of MRI, the two NMR engineers, Jon Webb and Bob Crosby, who founded MR Resources, realized that MRI facilities needed a wide range of non-magnetic products in order to function safely. As the field of MRI grew, and scanners became more powerful, the demand for products began to outstrip the supply and availability of non-magnetic hospital items. It soon became apparent that a company devoted solely toward that purpose could best handle supplying MRI facilities. To this end MAGMEDIX was formed.

MRI, although an invaluable diagnostic tool, does have its own set of challenges. The high-field magnet inside the scanner can cause very real problems and accidents when the proper products are not used. Magnetic items in the MRI suite can cause artifacts, provide faulty readings and become dangerous projectiles.

Does it really take NMR engineers to guide you safely through the pitfalls of choosing your MRI suitable products? We believe it does. We firmly believe that the safety of the MRI community warrants the best. At Magmedix we have in-house engineers to enable you to purchase with confidence from a company run by people with this expertise.
